I took the SAT tests last Saturday. At first I thought I wasn’t going to be too nervous, but a the dreams I’ve been having tell otherwise. For instance, two days ago, I had a dream that I had to go back to elementary school because I failed the math section of the SATs. My knees wouldn’t fit under the desks, and they had to put me in the back row because I blocked the other kids’ views. Poor Mom, when she came to wake me up (at 8:30, because she wants me to be able to function properly when I have to get up early for the test… not that it’s going to help me), I snapped at her without really knowing why I was grouchy. A few minutes later, I figured it out and apologized. But those are the sort of dreams I had before the test.
So I bet you’re wondering how it went. To put it shortly, it went badly. I didn’t even finish the essay they assigned, and my performance in the math section was shaky at best. The reading was easy, though. But I’m pretty sure of one thing; I’m probably going to end up taking the test again. Ugh.
On a lighter note, I’ve finished Geometry and Chemistry for the year! Whoo! Now all I’ve got to do is finish my Chinese book, Wordly Wise, and World History. Oh, and reading six books by the end of the month… but that’s nothing, right? =) …Ah well, at least it’s not six books of something I absolutely hate. I kinda like history. So, yeah.
I’ve got the James Bond theme stuck in my head, along with “Another One Bites the Dust”. Before that, it was “Poor Unfortunate Souls” from The Little Mermaid. And now I’m currently listening to “It’s My Time to Fly”, so that’ll probably be next. I like that song. It’s on Titan AE, one of the coolest cartoon movies ever. I don’t even know why I’m writing this paragraph, honestly. It doesn’t have much to do with anything, and there’s a whole bunch of other interesting stuff I could be telling you.
For instance, I had the privilege of going to the last ever Audio Adrenaline concert with my youth group two weeks ago. It was awesome! They played all of my favorite songs, and Lauren and I even got to go up in the front of the seating area we were in and jump around in the sort-of-but-not-really mosh pit. And during the intermission, I got the last t-shirt of the design I liked. It’s really big because it was the last one, but I don’t care- I’ll wear it with pride! Yup. Audio Adrenaline rocks. It’s so sad that they’re breaking up.
So after the intermission, MercyMe played. It was kind of funny; since their music is so mellow, the lead singer said after the noticably quieter round of applause, “Well, that’s what we get for agreeing to play after Audio A’s very last performance. Definitely not one of our smarter moments.” True, but MercyMe was still cool. It was just that we fans were tired from jumping and screaming and clapping… and all that stuff. Nothing personal. They sang my favorite of their songs, too- “Spoken For”. Mom would’ve liked that part of it. I actually liked it even though I’m not overly fond of MercyMe. It was relaxing after all the rock music.
Dave and Tara got here this afternoon! It’s only been a few hours, but already it’s been fun to have them here. We’re gonna have a great two weeks together. =)
